Terms of service

The agreement

These terms are between Axicom, which operates Channekt, and the organisation that creates or uses an account. The person accepting these terms confirms that they are authorised to bind that organisation.

The privacy page describes how Axicom handles personal data.

The data processing agreement also forms part of these terms from account creation. It governs personal data processed on the merchant's behalf and prevails where these documents conflict on that subject.

What the service is

Channekt connects a merchant's shops and marketplaces to central catalogue, inventory, order and fulfilment workflows. It imports channel data and sends authorised updates back to connected accounts.

Channekt is provided as a hosted software service and does not require an on-premise installation. The service is updated centrally.

Accounts and access

• The merchant controls user access and assigns roles and permissions.
• User credentials are personal and must not be shared. The merchant is responsible for activity performed through its accounts.
• Passwords are not stored in readable form and must be reset if lost.
• Suspected account compromise must be reported promptly to support@channekt.com.

Plans, trial and billing

Every plan starts with a 14-day trial. No card is required to begin it, and billing starts only after the trial ends and a paid plan is selected.

• Subscriptions are billed by Stripe, monthly or yearly in advance, and renew until cancelled.
• Plans include limits for channel accounts, products, monthly orders and users. Current usage is displayed in the service, and higher limits require a plan change.
• Subscriptions can be cancelled from the billing screen and remain active until the end of the paid period.
• A failed payment places the account in a grace period. Existing data is retained, and full access resumes after successful payment.
• Prices change with at least 30 days' notice, never mid-period.

Connected channels

Connecting a shop or marketplace authorises Channekt to read permitted catalogue and order data and to send authorised inventory, listing and fulfilment updates.

• The merchant remains responsible for its agreement with each channel and for compliance with the channel's selling, listing and data requirements.
• A connection can be revoked through Channekt or the channel. Previously imported data remains in the merchant's account subject to the retention policy.
• Channel interfaces and capabilities are controlled by their respective operators and may change or be withdrawn.

Channekt is provided solely by Axicom. No channel operator and no affiliate of one is the developer of Channekt, provides the Channekt service, or endorses or certifies it, and none of them makes any warranty of any kind with respect to Channekt or to the data accessed through it. Each channel's name and marks belong to its operator and are used here only to say which channel is meant.

Your data

The merchant retains ownership of its data. Axicom claims no ownership of merchant catalogue, order or customer data and does not sell it or use one merchant's data to provide another merchant's service.

Merchant data is processed only to provide and secure the service. It is not used for advertising, unrelated analytics or model training. Available exports can be downloaded while the account is active.

For the personal data a merchant's customers' orders carry, the merchant is the controller and we are the processor. Permitted processing, instructions, sub-processors, incident handling and end-of- service obligations are described in the data processing agreement. When an account closes, that data is deleted 30 days later unless the merchant requests earlier deletion or return. Backup copies expire within 35 days.

Acceptable use

The service must not be used for:

• anything unlawful, or goods a connected channel forbids
• another party's data without their authority, including credentials for a shop that is not yours to connect
• attacking, probing or disrupting the service or connected channels, including high-volume scraping or bypassing technical limits
• reselling access to the platform without a written agreement

Availability and support

Axicom uses monitoring, retry controls and operational safeguards to support service availability. Specific availability commitments apply only where agreed in writing.

Maintenance that requires downtime is announced in advance. Support is by email at support@channekt.com, answered on working days.

Liability

The service is supplied as described in these terms and the product documentation. Axicom does not control the availability, decisions or performance of connected channels, marketplaces or carriers.

Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any twelve months is limited to the fees paid in those twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

A merchant may end the agreement by cancelling its subscription. Axicom may end or suspend it for non-payment, material breach of acceptable use or where required by law. Where the breach can be remedied, reasonable notice and an opportunity to cure will be provided.

On termination, access stops and the data is handled as described in the privacy page and the data processing agreement. There is a window to take an export before scheduled deletion.

Changes to these terms

Material changes affecting merchant rights or fees are notified at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. A merchant that does not accept may cancel and receive a refund for the unused part of the paid period.

This agreement is governed by the law of the country in which Axicom is registered, and the courts there have jurisdiction. Consumer rights that apply where the merchant is established are not affected by that.
