Amazon integration for offers, orders and inventory

Authorise Channekt through Seller Central to synchronise merchant-fulfilled offers, inventory and orders while keeping Amazon-fulfilled inventory separate.

app.channekt.com - Amazon - acme_uk
Catalogue imported1,284 listings, on your own SKUs rather than Amazon’s ASINs imported
Order 203-1234567-1234567£59.97 · three lines, fetched one call after the order imported
Stock sent for JK-4471-Mquantity 7, on the offer you fulfil yourself accepted
Stock not sent for LG-2210Amazon fulfils this one, so the quantity is Amazon’s FBA
Amazon supplies order details separately, so each order is read in full before it is displayed. This ensures every order line remains available for fulfilment.
Getting started

Connect Amazon Seller Central

1 Connection

Authorise Seller Central

One consent screen in Seller Central. No password is typed here and none is kept, and you can withdraw the permission from your own account whenever you like.

Sign in→consent→connected
2 Synchronisation

Import orders

Every order with its lines, its tax read the way the marketplace charges it, and the ones Amazon fulfils tagged so they are never picked from your shelves.

Orders today 34 · fulfilled by Amazon 11
3 after every change

Synchronise inventory

One figure behind every channel, so a sale on eBay moves the Amazon offer too. A refusal is read out of Amazon’s answer and shown as one.

What moves

Data synchronised with Amazon

Orders

in

Incremental by last change. Amazon returns an order without its lines, so the lines are fetched for each one rather than assumed to have arrived.

Stock

out

Absolute quantities on the offers you fulfil yourself, and read back for the nightly comparison. Anything Amazon fulfils is left alone.

Dispatch

out

One call per parcel, the moment it is packed: the items, their quantities and the tracking number. It is what moves the order out of the buyer’s “not yet shipped” list and off your late-dispatch metric.

Listings

in

Both ways. Read, so a SKU here matches the offer it already has; and written, as your offer against an existing Amazon catalogue product - your SKU, price, condition and quantity. Record the product's ASIN before publishing.

Fulfilment

Merchant-fulfilled orders, picked here and confirmed to Amazon

An order you fulfil yourself is picked, packed and dispatched at the bench, and Amazon is told the moment the parcel leaves.

1 Pick and pack

The buyer’s address, where it is needed

The picking list and the packing document carry the delivery address for the parcel in hand, and nothing else. Every read of a buyer’s details is recorded with the person who read it and when.

Pick→pack→weigh
2 Label

Buy the label on your own carrier account

A label is bought at the bench on your own contract, and the tracking number comes back with it. A parcel leaving the country carries a customs declaration built from the order lines.

Carrier your own account
Tracking recorded against the order
3 Dispatch

Confirmed to Amazon, one call per parcel

The carrier and the tracking number are sent to Amazon as the shipment confirmation for that order, by the line ids Amazon itself gave us. Amazon emails the buyer; a refusal is shown as a refusal rather than recorded as sent.

Packed→label→confirmed
Permissions

What the application is authorised to do

Channekt asks Seller Central for four things, and each one is a feature you can see on this page.

Product Listing - create and update offers on your own SKUs, with the attributes each category asks for
Pricing - read and update the price of an offer, per marketplace, in that marketplace’s own currency
Inventory and Order Management - import orders as they change, keep the quantity on an offer in step with the warehouse, and process the order here
Direct-to-Consumer Shipping - the delivery address and contact details of a buyer, used to pick, pack, label and dispatch the order they placed, and for nothing else
Configuration

Amazon integration details

An order Amazon fulfils is imported and tagged, and never picked here or deducted from your own stock
Tax follows the marketplace, not the seller: amazon.co.uk prices include VAT and amazon.com prices do not, and the order is read accordingly
Amazon can refuse a stock update while still answering that the request succeeded, so the answer is read rather than the status code, and a refusal is shown as one
Amazon publishes a different rate limit for each operation - reading orders is one call a minute - and every answer is read for it rather than a fixed figure being assumed
Questions

Amazon frequently asked questions

What do I need on the Amazon side?

A Seller Central account and an authorisation step are required. Access is granted through Amazon and can be withdrawn from Seller Central at any time.

Will it handle FBA?

FBA orders are imported and identified so sales and reporting remain complete. Their stock is not written: those units sit in Amazon’s warehouse and the quantity is Amazon’s to set, so anything sent would be overwritten within the hour. Stock goes out only on the offers you fulfil yourself.

Can I list a product on Amazon from here?

Yes, against an Amazon product that already exists. Record the ASIN on the item and publish: your SKU, price, condition and quantity go out as your offer, and the check beforehand names anything missing. Channekt publishes offers against existing Amazon catalogue products; creation of a new Amazon catalogue detail page remains in Seller Central.

Does Amazon know when I have shipped?

Yes. Confirming dispatch sends the shipment update to Amazon immediately - the items, their quantities and the tracking number, one call per parcel - so the order stops sitting in the buyer’s “not yet shipped” list. That matters beyond tidiness: late dispatch is a metric Amazon measures sellers on. Amazon emails the buyer itself; there is no way to ask it not to.

Why does an order sometimes show a town but no street?

Amazon treats a buyer’s name and street as restricted data and releases them only against a token issued for the purpose, which we ask for on every read. Where Amazon declines to issue one, it answers with the town alone and no error at all - so the connection says which details are missing and why, rather than the order looking ready to ship.

I already use another tool for Amazon. Can you move me over?

Yes, for free on every plan. We connect your Amazon account, match the offers already live and check stock before anything is sent, while your current tool keeps running.

Moving from another platform? We move you for free.

We import your catalogue, connect your channels and carriers, and stay with you through the first orders, on every plan. Your current system keeps running until you switch.
