Opening it
Help me with this product on a product screen, or the help control in the top bar anywhere else. The panel says what it is looking at, and Check again re-runs everything against the channel as it is now.
The checks
For the page you are on, the assistant runs every check that applies and reports one of four answers per connection: ready to publish, not ready yet, ready with one thing to look at, or could not be checked in full, with a count of how many checks passed.
Under it, in this order:
- What is stopping this - the blockers, each with Take me there, which opens the screen and the field that fixes it.
- Worth looking at - things that will not stop a publish.
- Do these in order - the steps, when order matters.
- Show every check - all of them, passed, not needed, not passed or could not be checked.
The checks are the product's own logic rather than a model's opinion, and they run whether or not written explanations are switched on. When the prose is unavailable the panel says so and shows the complete checks, which is the part that decides anything.
Which channels it covers
The assistant answers about the channels a product is published to: Shopify, eBay, WooCommerce and Magento. Those are the ones with a listing to be ready or not ready for, and each contributes its own checks - eBay's policies and item specifics, Magento's attribute sets, and so on.
Amazon is connected for its catalogue, its orders and its stock, and listings there are created in Seller Central rather than from here. So an Amazon connection is not offered as somewhere to publish, and the assistant has nothing to check for it. A product's Amazon stock and orders behave exactly as they do for every other channel.
Publishing from it
When a product is ready, the panel offers publish this and lists the connections you have, each marked ready or not ready. Choose one and it publishes, then links straight to the listing. A connection that is not ready says so and shows its own blockers rather than being offered and refused.
Writing a title or a description
Write it for me sits beside the title and the description on the product screen. It drafts from the brand, type, category, options and tags, replaces what is in the box and saves nothing: read it, edit it, then press Save. Titles come back under eighty characters, which is what the marketplaces allow.
What it is given
Products, channels and readiness. It is never sent customer personal data - not a name, an address, an email or a telephone number - and that is a property of what the code sends rather than a promise about a prompt.
